    Hello
Just wondering if anyone carries out checks on boilers and rads when doing void cap offs if gas and electric are on. or do you just cap off the meter and complete void check.
Just looking at ways to reduce problems when it comes to the actual turn on and test for new customers.

We carry out a full service on void, we check everything,we dont want any issues on hand over if we can help it.

Grampian Housing based in North East Scotland ensure both electric and gas supplies are live during the void period using a default supplier arrangement. This allows us to carry out gas CP12 and electric safety checks and carry out any identified remedial works during the void so we can hand over the void with utilities on and safety checked to the incoming customer.

Hi , we do the lgsr 2 days before the keys are handed over so the cert is 2 days old when the tnt gets the keys, we dont have long term voids generally.

    Hi Steve.
We put the completed certificate in the handover pack, there is no legal requirement to carry out another service untill it is due at the expiry date.
Some companies may service again as policy but legally as long as you hand over the current certificate for the property then your fine .
