Safe Isolation Procedure and Training Awareness Seminar

  

This half day course covers both practical and theory training in line with current regulations and recognised industry best practise guidelines and procedures. The knowledge obtained will enable candidates to perform safe isolation of single phase electrical circuits for the purposes of work, repair or maintenance etc.

Who is it suitable for?

Initially this course was set up for gas engineers retaking their ACS exam but has been adapted for anyone likely to be isolating electrical systems. Typical delegates may include:

  • Electricians
  • Plumbers, gas fitters / engineers
  • Handymen
  • Kitchen fitters

What will the outcomes be?

By the end of this course delegates will have the knowledge and ability to safely isolate single phase electrical installations.

What experience and qualifications are needed?

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

How is the course delivered?

This half day course is delivered in-house at your premises. The course combines a half-day guided learning event followed by a practical safe isolation assessment and a short multiple choice test.

  • Earthing and bonding
  • Safe working practises
  • Electrical test equipment
  • Safe Isolation Procedures (theory and practise) including Safe to Touch, Safe Isolation and Proving Dead
