St Vincent’s Housing Association leading the way in Renewables

Setting up an innovative renewables scheme for tenants, Charlie Norman, CEO of St Vincent’s Housing Association described how ‘St Vincent’s Cosy Home’ was receiving support from tenants and staff.

“Our Cosy Homes project is our flagship for sustainable homes,” said Charlie, “and takes a retrofit approach to our older properties. It incorporates fresh air features, water saving devices, energy saving measures, insulation and eco-gardens. It aims to help tenants save money, get out of fuel poverty and cut CO2 emissions. The savings for the tenant are considerable and we believe that we have created a ‘Code’ for sustainable homes which could apply to all properties, ensuring that they are fit for the future.”
