The winners of the 2014 AGSM Gas Safety Awards were announced at a glittering dinner on Tuesday 29th April 2014 at The Belfry.
Hosted by Charlie Webster, the athlete and TV Sports Presenter, the finalists, winners, sponsors and other guests enjoyed a glittering evening, entertained by the Three Singing Waiters and a Heads and Tails game in aid of Women’s Aid Charity, before the Winners’ envelopes were opened by the sponsors. The Dinner was sponsored by PH Jones, part of British Gas.
Lit with atmospheric coloured lights, spectacular table decorations and a star spangled set, the room created a glitzy setting for the diners. The first prizes were for the winners of the AGSM Golf Tournament which took place on the Derby course that morning – nearest the hole, longest drive and overall Tournament winner.
Certificates and pens were also awarded to candidates who had recently completed their CORGI Level 2 VRQ Awards in Gas Safety Awareness in Social Housing and their CORGI Level 4 Certificates in Gas Safety Management in Social Housing and in Facilities Management.
A certificate was also presented to North Lincolnshire Homes for completing their CORGI Quality Gas Safety ManagementAccreditation. The latest Corporate member to join the AGSM were also presented with a certificate – Keepmoat Ltd.
The AGSM Gas Safety Awards were awarded to the winners by the sponsors for each category.
The final two awards were presented by the AGSM President, Chris Bielby – the President’s Award for an individual’s contribution to the work of the AGSM went to Gareth Davey of North Lincolnshire Homes and the President’s Award to an organisation making an outstanding contribution to gas safety went to A1 Housing.
